“My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” - Jesus

When Jesus taught us to pray he began with this passionate petition, "Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

A paraphrase of Jesus’ words could read, “Heavenly Father, cause Your great and holy name to be valued supremely, treasured above all things, and loved above all others, in my life and by all people. Cause Your glorious, sovereign, kingly rule to dispel darkness and shine light everywhere in the world. May Your all-wise, all-good, all-holy will be done all over this world.

When we pray as Jesus taught us to pray, we join God in contending with the principalities and powers of darkness and partner with Him in advancing the kingdom of light! We long for God to exert His supreme majesty and beauty to draw all nations to Himself in order that they may become His beloved children, true worshippers, and faithful servants. Also, we express our confidence in and our willingness to partner in God’s kingdom purpose and activity, and the completion of global evangelization.
