"I spent twenty years of my life trying to recruit people out of local churches and into missions structures so that they could be involved in fulfilling God's global mission. Now I have another idea. Let's take God's global mission and put it right in the middle of the local church!" - George Miley
NEW ORLEANS has seen the seeds of the Gospel scattered throughout the city since Hurricane Katrina. Harvest time is here! Several B Groups are partnering with church planters there to preach and live out the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Work is being done with Bethel Colony Transformational Ministries and Women at the Well. Both ministries are faith-based drug and alcohol rehab facilities for men and women. B Group mission teams have seen the Spirit of God moving and saving lives! You are encouraged to prayerfully consider joining with these B Groups to be a part of God’s Redemptive work in “Nawlins.” Contact Dr. Scott Patton at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
BBC Middle School and High School Choirs, along with Upbeat & Downbeat percussion groups, are involved each year in ministering in our city and in other cities across the country. We take a summer tour, but it is also important to share the gospel locally as well, so our groups are involved in local mission projects in the north LA area. During summer, our Middle School Choir travels to a city within our region for a week-long mission tour. This introduces many of our younger students to mission opportunities that provide first-hand experiences in working with missions away from home. Tours involve mission work with established churches and Christian service organizations. We also perform concerts, do backyard Bible studies, and assist in service projects. Our High School Choir and Upbeat group travel to a larger city each summer to share the gospel through concerts, service work, witnessing, prayer walks, etc. The High School mission experience may involve working closely with homeless ministries, prisons, and other venues which they may not experience locally. We invite all Middle and High School students to be a part of our student music ministry so that they can participate first hand in sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Contact Herb Armentrout at email@example.com for High School Choir information and Tim Magill at firstname.lastname@example.org for Middle School Choir information.
Annual Men’s Construction Mission Trip
Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. – Proverbs 27:17
Each year in May, Pastor Chuck leads a Men’s Construction Mission trip. No construction experience or skills are needed, just a willing spirit. Although the communities and churches where the men serve are blessed, the men will tell you that the biggest blessing comes from serving alongside other Christian men and witnessing God’s power in their lives. The men share their personal testimonies and love for God. Past trips have helped Raintree Church, Hillsboro, MO; First Baptist Church, Mammoth Spring, AR; First Baptist Church, Red Bud, IL; and Liberty Baptist Church, Strasburg, VA.
Pray for the message of salvation to spread across our nation through His servants as we work together to accomplish His purpose. For information on this year's trip, contact the Pastor’s Office, email@example.com, or call the church.
