Broadmoor women have a long history of love, compassion, ministry and service. We want to continue passing on the legacy God has so richly blessed us with by offering opportunities for women to get together for fellowship and connection as well as service, Bible study and learning. We are all very busy, but we need each other to talk to, listen to, learn from and laugh with. We want to provide times to engage with women we might not see on a regular basis or meet a new friend. Together we will seek to B Women of God, faith, encouragement, prayer, service, stewardship, as well as many other aspects of our spiritual lives.
Once a quarter we will have an event for women to get together to learn or serve, but always fellowship.
Several opportunities throughout the week are provided for Women’s Bible Studies. Some studies include video series by various leaders, including Kay Arthur, Priscilla Shirer, Beth Moore, Francis Chan and others. Many of our BGroups also host Bible Studies specifically for women during the week. For more information on these or any of our Bible studies, contact the church office.
Women’s Night Out
Women's Night Out is a festive, fun, feminine celebration of what God is doing in the lives of the ladies of our church, designed to help women come to know the Lord and each other better. Each evening's decor and speakers are based on contemporary topics that are relevant to the needs of women and offer a nonthreatening environment to bring a friend or neighbor to hear the gospel presented in an engaging and inviting manner. Tickets are sold at the Welcome Desks on the two Sundays prior to the event. Our spring date is TBD. Childcare is available by reservation.
WMU – Women on Mission
Women on Mission provides an opportunity to hear from missionaries around the world and to help prepare local mission projects for distribution. Speakers present updates to their ministry, prayer requests and highlights of recent mission trips. Women on Mission meets at 6:30 PM the first Monday of each month at the church. For more information, contact Pat Broussard at email@example.com.
Circle of Love and Hope
The Circle of Love & Hope is for all widows. Any widow can come, whether a member of Broadmoor or not. We get together every Wednesday at 2:00 pm in Room 1403, September – May. This is not a grief group. It is a fun group for ladies who have widowhood in common. Each week there is a guest presenter. Several times a year the group takes a day trip via motor coach to a different location in the Ark-La-Tex. For more information, contact Jean Baldwin at firstname.lastname@example.org
