Large Group Worship
What is DOXA?
DOXA is a worship service that meets at 11:00 AM in Worship Center South every Sunday morning.
DOXA is a GREAT word! No word better describes what happens in corporate worship. It is filled with meaning. DOXA means glory, splendor, power, and praise. In its verb form, it means to praise, honor, and glorify. And that’s what we seek to do when we gather for worship as the family of God at Broadmoor Baptist.
What is most important when we gather to worship? Is it the instruments, the worship leaders, or the preaching? No, it’s the DOXA, the glory. As we gather for worship, may DOXA be our focus. Seek to glorify God, and you will leave, stunned at having been in the presence of your Creator and Savior.
Our service is a dynamic example of breaking down barriers in Worship. Set in a renovated Gym, the newly named "Worship Center South" holds the sweeping harmonies of voices singing with nothing other than a quiet acoustic guitar, all the way to giant heart pounding rhythms that are a "full on" expression of the power of God!
Dr. Chuck Pourciau delivers the message each week from the Bible. You will hear a practical message that is easy to understand and that you can apply to your everyday world right away.
This service meets twice each Sunday Morning and guests are encouraged to come early and stay late. You will see people wearing everything from wing tips to flip flops. Come as you are... you are welcome here!
